PROJECT “GUPPEDU BIYYAM”

Sharing and caring is an important skill that is essential in community living. The dynamics in relationships have changed a lot over the years. Nowadays, rarely do we find joint families where everything was hinged on to adjustments and accommodations. Every member was learnt sharing and caring in an unconscious manner.

Joint families would also contribute their might to the society by organizing free meals to the deprived especially during festival season. They also did their bit in sharing up the infrastructure such as building schools, digging wells etc.

The pampered modern child does not witness such events.

The inculcate their vital skill of sharing and caring, I have initiated the project “Guppedu Biyyam”

Every child is requested to donate at least a handful of rice. The collected material will be given to an orphanage or old age home.

I would be extremely happy to involve parents. Parents can help by following ways

  • Identify an orphanage that is badly in need of support
  • Organising a trip with selected students (10-15) to the orphanage.
  • Organising a motivational talk by social worker at K V Picket Primary.
